What “Clinically Tested” Actually Means.
Inside the MemorialCare trial behind the PROTX2® antimicrobial claim.

“Clinically tested” is one of those phrases that can mean everything or nothing. On an Aura label it refers to something specific: the DYNAMIQ™ fabric platform was evaluated in real clinical conditions with nurses at MemorialCare — worn on shift, laundered on a hospital cadence, and assessed for how the technologies held up in actual use rather than in a lab drawer.
What is PROTX2®, in plain language?
PROTX2® is an antimicrobial treatment bonded into the fabric. It reduces odor-causing bacteria on the garment itself — which is why a set can come off a 12-hour overnight without announcing it. One important honesty note, straight from the label: it protects the garment, not the wearer, and it is not a substitute for washing. Wash thoroughly after use.
What about the fluid barrier and the stretch?
ecoPEL® is a water- and stain-repellent finish, so splashes bead and roll instead of soaking in — easier cleanup, longer-looking-new scrubs. DryTX™ is the moisture-wicking four-way stretch that makes the set move like athleisure. Together they're the reason the fabric science section of this site reads less like a uniform catalog and more like sportswear engineering.
The short version: when we say tested, we mean worn — by the people whose opinion of a scrub is hardest to earn.
